The Organization The Metropolitan Coalition is a 501(c) (4) nonprofit organization representing North Carolina's largest cities and towns. Its goal is greater emphasis on urban needs in statewide policy. The coalition's director serves as the chief administrator and reports to an executive committee chosen by representatives of the member cities and towns.
